FAQ’s

Do I Need Insurance?

There is no legal requirement for you to insure your mobility scooters. It is however recommended to take insurance to cover against an accident or Third Party Claims.

Do I Need Road Tax?

Class 3 Scooters (over 4mph) need a free tax disc and should be registered with the DVLA.
In order to register and license a class 3 Scooter you will need to complete a simple form that we send you (V55/4 for new vehicles) and send it to you nearest DVLA local office.
A free Road Fund License (tax disc) will then be sent to you.

Do I need to take a test?

No Test or License is required.

Maintaining my new scooter?

New scooters need very little maintenance apart from keeping them clean, checking air pressure in the tyres and charging the batteries correctly.
If possible try and store it in the dry.
Take care to fully read the manual which will give useful tips and advice on how to maintain your scooter.
We do recommend that you have it professionally serviced at least once a year, our engineers are available for this or we can recommend service centres in your area.

Charging my new scooter?

It is very important to keep your batteries fully charged – a fully charged up battery runs very efficiently.
Every time you get back from a trip put your scooter on charge, even if you have only gone out to post a letter.
